Homemade Crispy Snacks

Today my next recipes for the Merkur ImmerGut Blogger Challenge. A good snack for for everyday life!

Crunchy Chickpeas

Ingredients:

1/2 a can of chickpeas
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
sea salt

Drain and wash the chickpeas. Lay out on a paper towel and peel as many chickpeas as possible then let dry for about 30 minutes. Now bake at 200 ° C on baking paper for  about 40 minutes until they are crispy. Check the chickpeas from now and then so they won’t get burned. Mix together salt , lemon zest, lemon juice and olive oil and season the chickpeas with it.

Sweet Potato Chips

Ingredients:
1/2 sweet potato
BBQ seasoning
3 teaspoons olive oil

Wash the sweet potatoes and cut into very thin slices. Place in a bowl and cover with warm water for about 15 minutes. Remove from the water and lay out for half an hour and allow to dry. Mix BBQ seasoning with olive oil and sprinkle sweet potato on both sides. Place them on a baking grid and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 200 ° C . Turn after a couple of minutes. Enjoy!

Tip: Put a tray in the bottom rack of the oven covered with aluminium foil so you won’t get your oven dirty as the oil will drip on the bottom from your sweet potatoes.
