Lamb Skewers with Mint Sauce

Delicious and tender lamb skewers with fresh mint sauce.
Servings 4 People

Ingredients

  • 600 g leg of lamb deboned
  • 1 lime as garnish

Dry Rub

  • 1 tbsp allspice ground
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt
  • vegetable oil

Mint Sauce

  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 1 small handful of fresh mint
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of a ½ Lime
  • zest of a lime
  • salt, white pepper

Instructions

  • Cut the lamb into pieces of approx. 2x2 cm.
  • Mix all the spices together and rub into the lamb. Marinate for about 30 minutes. Then put line up on skewers. Brush with vegetable oil.
  • Preheat the barbecue for 15 minutes, then place the skewers on it and grill them over medium heat. Turn occasionally. Grill for a total time of 10-15 minutes.
  • While the lamb is on the grill prepare the mint sauce. Chop the mint very finely.
  • Finely chop the garlic and stir into the crème fraîche with the remaining ingredients, such as the mint.
  • Remove the lamb from the barbecue and serve with the mint sauce. Cut the lime into pieces and serve with the lamb to be squeezed over it.
