Here is my final recipe for the Merkur Immer Gut Blogger Challenge. A wonderfully light and delicious summer dessert.
Apple and Almond Yogurt
1 handful of blanched almonds
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
250 g natural yoghurt
1 apple
1 teaspoon of lemon zest
Toss the almonds in olive oil and brown sugar, roast them in the oven at about 160 ° C for 10 minutes. Cut apple into small pieces (leave a few pieces for garnish) and mix with plain yogurt and lemon zest. Chop the roasted almonds and stir 2/3 of them into yogurt . Split into two bowls and garnish with remaining apples and almonds.
My Conclusion:
Shopping and Waste Management
I usually go shopping and just buy all the things I need without thinking about whether I consume it or not. This time it took a bit longer to plan what to buy and what I would need and use for the recipes. In the end it was easier than I thought it would be and everybody should try to use the same ingredients for as many recipes as possibles to not produce too much waste. With proper planning anything is possible.
