Whisky Meat Pies

This week I’ve learned what the difference between Whiskey and Whisky is (it’s actually not that complicated just different origins), so ones from Scotland and the other from Ireland and the U.S. ! I thought it was being misspelled, I guess I was wrong and Tom is right! 😉

Ingredients:
500g ground beef
3-4 purple potatoes
2 chopped onions
250g champignons
as many cheddar cheese cubes as you wanna make meat pies
some salt, pepper and sugar
clarified butter
chopped parsley
2 rolls puff pastry
1 good shot of Scotch Whisky
1 egg

Heat clarified butter add onions, ground beef and potatoes. Then add mushrooms, parsley, salt, pepper and sugar, now the scotch whisky cook a minute and put aside. With a cup or glass cut out twice as many pieces of puff pastry as you wanna make pies. Now take half and lay out in oiled muffin tray like in the video. Evenly spread one layer of meat one cube of cheese and one more layer of meat, then close up with the rest of the puff pastry circles. Close up edges with fork. Beat egg and brush pies with it then put in the oven for 20 minutes at 190°C. Serve it with sour cream and sprinkle with cress!Florence_Stoiber-1614
