Before cooking fasan you should put the breasts in milk for a couple of hours. It will make the meat more tender and the taste will be better as well!
4-8 fasan breasts
fresh thyme and rosmary
2 bacon strips per breast
2 table spoons of oil
Super simple: Just wrap the fasan with thyme and rosemary in bacon like in the picture below.No salt needed cause the bacon is salty enough.
Ingredients for the mashed potatoes:
1 vanilla pod
Cook the potatoes until they re soft. Press them through a potatoe crusher.
Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scratch out the vanilla with a knife.
Then add butter,milk, cream, vanilla, salt and pepper and mix it. Maybe reheat it before you serve it.
If you want your mashed potatoes to look nicer you can build this little potatoe thingy like I did in the pictures below for that you’ll need :
1 big potatoe
lots of oil to deep fry the potatoe
Cut the potatoe in very slim slices. And add together like in the picture below.
Fry for a couple of seconds, then take it out let it cool down.
After you prepared all side dishes you can fry the fasan breasts. This will take around 10-15 minutes depending on size and heat. Put on low heat though so they wont burn.
